Holy Eucharist

The Holy Eucharist, or the Blessed Sacrament, is at the center of our Holy Faith in the Church’s liturgical and spiritual life. All of the other Sacraments instituted by Christ are for the existence of the Eucharist: Baptism that we may receive it; Confirmation that we might defend it; Penance, that sinners may be restored to grace and receive Holy Communion once again; and Holy Orders to make men priests, who must confect and give it.

Visits to the Blessed Sacrament, Benediction, Holy Hours, All-night Adoration, and frequent Communion are just a few of the devotions surrounding this Sacrament. The Holy Eucharist is Our Lord dwelling with us, in our midst, to comfort and strengthen us, and unite Himself to us as we make our pilgrimage towards Heaven.

More can be read about this devotion on our Doctrine and Devotions page as well as in our past newsletter.
